Utusu is a Mac app that copies your Notion workspace to a folder on your own computer. It has no user accounts and no server of ours behind it. We do not collect, receive, store, or transmit your personal data or your Notion content, except as described below for purchases made through LemonSqueezy.
Nothing. Utusu contains no analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or advertising code, and it never sends us your Notion content, your file paths, or information about how you use the app.
Utusu writes backups to the folder(s) you choose on your own Mac.
api.notion.com,
notion.so): to authorize access and to read the workspace
content you asked Utusu to back up.lemonsqueezy.com): only
used if you buy Utusu Pro, for checkout and a single license activation
request. After that, Utusu checks your license locally and does not
contact them again.api.github.com): to check
whether a newer version has been released.localhost): Utusu runs a
temporary local listener during Notion sign-in to receive the
authorization result. It is reachable only from your Mac and closes when
sign-in ends.Your Notion authorization and, if you have one, your license are stored in the macOS Keychain on your Mac. Your settings (backup folders, schedule, and the names of connected workspaces) are stored in the app's own preferences on your Mac. None of this is sent to us.
When you connect a workspace, Notion handles that sign-in under Notion's privacy policy. If you buy Utusu Pro, LemonSqueezy is the merchant of record and collects your name, email, billing address, and payment method under its own privacy policy. As the seller, we see your name, email, and order in the LemonSqueezy dashboard, but never your card number.
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export or erase. To remove Utusu's access to your Notion workspace, revoke it in Notion's connection settings. To remove local data, disconnect the workspace in Utusu and delete the app.
Utusu is not directed at children under 13.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
Utusu is a K. Sen product by Kuaru Studios LLC.
